Lids

Hello!!

As part of our plan to first clean the garage and second store things more safely, we have purchased many plastic tubs. You know, the 20 to 50 gallon size.

Having plastic tubs with good lids is essential if trees are going to fall on one's house. The tubs that survive will prevent the pouring rain from damaging what is inside.

The lids though are the key. Without a good lid the tub is just another water or dust collector. Without a lid the ability to stack them in a nice way is completely lost.

Now, here in lies the problem: there are lots of tub sizes and lots of tub lids. One size lid will not fit a different sized tub. Your parents might arrive home with the exact number of lids to match the number of tubs (the most general form of one-to-one correspondence) but have some lids that do not fit the tubs. You can help by being sure (before they take the tubs to the check-out counter) that each lid fits a tub. You will be doing a great service!!

Love, G'pa Bob

I am working toward that, Sonrisa. As soon as I have a year of experience on how to say things on the web without pointing at people who might not want to be pointed to - thousands of them!!

Thank you for stopping by,
Love

Well, I think we have alittle leeway when it comes to personal blogs. It's not like someone is paying us for our opinions. If a person is planning to get really controversial on their blog, I'd suggest a li'l disclaimer in the blog's description. "This is my blog and these are my opinions, etc."

When I was telling Mom about NaNoWriMo, she suggested I just publish my journals. :D Woo! Can you imagine 23 years (I started my livejournal 3.5 years ago, so those years are already electronic) or journals to type up?

I have been tossing around the idea, though, of starting a blog for that purpose. Once a day, posting entries from my journals (which extend back to before I could write, to when I could dictate to Mom).

Do you remember the big posterboard you drew a picture on and then cut it down to postcard size and sent me a postcard every week so I could put together the puzzle? I think of that now and then, especially when I am reminded how very creative you, my computer programming father, are. *hugs*

PS - I still have all those postcards. I've kept most of the letters I've ever received from anyone. I think it's something to do with the journaling. I don't like to throw out other people's words.
