Sunday - healing - resolutions

Dearest Grandchildren,

Masterfob was discussing new-year's resolutions a week or so ago and that seemed important to me. Especially in view of conference just past. Every talk was about healing in some form. There were so many choices that one would be overwhelmed to take them all on at once. A list of choices is what Conference talks are and we can pick the top one (or two or three) subjects and work to incorporate the healing into our lives. I replied to Masterfob the following three sentences:

"I made a new-year's resolution in 1990 that I have been able to keep. Not bragging but it was simple: never to make new-year's resolutions.

I learned around that time that life was not simple. I am not saying that it is simple for those who make it to the gym nearly every day. I simply am saying that "to every thing there is a season" and some of the seasons are too short or too far away.

Physical exercise is, though, extremely important. Aerobic exercise non-the-less. So I keep trying to get a schedule.

I am officially 224 pounds for the 4th time in my life. I have just left obese and am now officially only over-weight. You can check your situation here. Diet has not been enough. Working in the garden 14 hours a week has not been enough. I am told that 45 minutes of sustained aerobic exercise daily will be required to get to 185 pounds. I will keep you posted.

In a P.S, I thought I posted this back in mid-October but did not so I have a small update: I now weigh 219 pounds - the lowest in at least 10 years.

Love always and forever,
G'pa Bob
