Sat. - Work day

We moved some flowers and did a little garden work. The "perennials" (i.e, per year or every year I have learned) grew differently than the book said so flowers that were put in the front so they could be seen grew tall and the ones behind grew short and could not be seen. I am not a flower guy but I sure enjoy watching and helping my Sweetheart do her magic.

I have a tee-shirt that says "Don't get in line behind me because I am in the slow lane." I think that I will now have one that says "Don't plant like I do because my plantings are not by the book" or something along that line.

To extend th's comment, never promise anything. Especially not that things will grow by the book in a garden that I have worked with.
