Friday - Date Night
Hi beloved family,
Friday is the highlight of the week. Date night has been special since we met. Odd numbered nights are mine to plan and even numbered are my Sweetheart's. We both observed that the date has become a little less formal recently and we agree to increasing the formality a little. Just for fun, next Friday I am going to ask Mom what time she wants her daughter home.
This date night was quite different - really different. I took the day off for two things. First, I had to get our tax stuff organized and to our CPA. Second, I had two doctor appointments. Due to poor planning on my part I missed the first appointment (I thought I could get to north Seattle and back with a couple stops in Issaqua in three hours - I was off by 35 minutes. Judith went with me (she is the world's best navigator) and one of the Issaqua stops was to buy books for a new member and her son. The other stop was to get copies of missing tax information. Then, on to the CPA (as I passed the U-district I wished I had time to meet Ben - more another time) then back too late for the first doctor so on to the second (the appointments were an hour apart and about 6 miles apart).
Judith suggested (even day - her turn) that we order a to-go from Applebee's, turn in a perscription at Rite Aid a couple miles away, pick up the dinner and go home. Sounded good to me so that is what we did. The busy day had worn us out so we had dinner and snuggled on the love-seat. We had a wonderful 7 hours together and a promise of a slightly new direction.
