Goodbye 2006
The year was good. The year was intense. Two weeks ago when 2006 started I thought it would take forever. Instead, frequent fires quickly consumed the calendar pages - sometimes several at a time.
During the year I took the opportunity to answer the question "Why does time pass much more quickly for an adult?" to which I answered "One year is 50% of a two year-old's life but only 2% of a 50 year-old's life." Not sure that was the answer but it seems true.
My employer schedules a factory renovation shutdown during the last days of the year. The 11 day break was much needed and much appreciated.
My Sweetheart was such a blessing to my 2006. Whether we exchanged kisses or cards, the exchange was warm and wonderful. And, in the same breath, the love of our children and grandchildren left us "added upon".
A blessed 2007 for us all is my prayer.
Love always, G'pa Bob
