The Geek Squad
That was really an experience. Yes dear grandchildren, we called The Geek Squad to ask them to get our computers on the network. You might have seen their advertising. Using their service seemed to be my only recourse to completing the task.
The gentleman on the other end of the phone listened intently, took all the facts, consulted with others from time to time, and agreed that they could accomplish the task which I was resquesting. Then came the experience: the first slot in their schedule was Jan 2nd, 2007.
So much for the car-in-the-driveway-when-the-call-finishes ad!!!
